While garden enthusiasts and flower aficionados tiptoe through the tulips in the outdoors, they can glimpse art usually seen inside an art gallery. Art in the Gardens will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 711 Green St. The free event’s purpose is to increase community awareness of the Gardens on Green and showcase a diversity of garden art in the middle of spring, according to organizers. A diverse range of art will be on display including mud pies, fairy houses, leaf printmaking, edible art, garden art on canvas, plein air painting, flower arrangements by Jane Hemmer and metal garden art by Jane Taylor.
