Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend under the stars with the animals at the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland.
On Thanksgiving Day through Dec. 1, the zoo in White County will feature starlight tours and a hayride as part of its holiday celebration.
Tours will be at 6, 6:30 and 7 p.m. Thursday through Monday at the zoo at 2912 Paradise Valley Road in Cleveland. Reservations are recommended.
Advanced, reserved tickets are $25 for adult, $23 for children and free for infants. At the gate, tickets are $30 for adults and $28 for children. Group rates with reservations of 20 or more are $20.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight as they walk through the zoo under the stars. They may enjoy the petting area.
Following the walk, participants will go on a hayride past camels, yaks and water buffalo. They may also feed the animals while the guide talks about the reason for the season and the animals.
The hayride will end at a live nativity scene and interacting with it.
Hayriders may then visit the bonfire and roast marshmellows, sing Christmas carols and enjoy the time under the stars.
