See and touch real rabbits at North Georgia Zoo

As the Easter bunny prepares to make the rounds on Sunday, children will have the opportunity to meet his relatives this weekend at the North Georgia Zoo.

The Easter Eggstravaganza and Rabbit Palooza will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 2912 Paradise Valley Road in Cleveland.

Children and their parents may follow the rabbit trails to meet, touch and learn about the different types of bunnies.

Children also may purchase an Easter basket to hunt for eggs. Once the basket is full, the scavengers can redeem the basket of eggs for an Easter goody bag. Baskets are $5.

If a colored egg is discovered during the hunt, it can be redeemed for a treat. If an animal-shaped egg is found, the child may receive a special prize.

For children not interested in hunting, they may groom, pet or even ride a donkey or visit the baby chicks and ducks. An attendant can help children hold one.
