If you're looking for a good way to spend your quiet time consider snuggling in your favorite chair with a new book. Hall County Parks and Leisure invites you to drop by their main office and bring an old book to exchange for a new one.

"We've been doing (the exchange) a little over a year now," said Kelly Norman, assistant program coordinator at HCPL. "Actually, we took it off of our event calendar and it was so highly requested, we decided to reinstate it."

HCPL schedules the swap sporadically throughout the year Norman said. They get anywhere from a few people to 40 people exchanging old media for new.

"Out of the need with the economy being so poor we just decided that we can create a community of exchanging reading materials instead of going out and buying new ones," Norman said.

"We welcome magazines and other reading material," she said. "It's a great opportunity to get out in the community. This entertainment is free of charge, and you can meet new people."
