Sautee Nacoochee center plans 30th birthday bash
The Artie Ball Swing Band will play its mix of dance music from the '30s and '40s at Saturday's 30th anniversary party for the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association.

Sautee Nacoochee Community Association will mark its 30th anniversary at a party starting at 7 p.m. Saturday in the historic gym at the Sautee Nacoochee Center.

A supervised kids' party will be held in the community hall at no charge.

The celebration will include SNCA stories, anecdotes and photographs chronicling the organization's three decades. A birthday party buffet, created by Chef Rhydon Mays, will feature Pacific cuisine. For dessert: a birthday cake by Hofer's Bakery of Helen.

Attendees can toast the anniversary at a wine and beer cash bar.

The Artie Ball Swing Band will play dance music from the '30s and '40s, including swing, blues, boogie and Dixieland. And a raffle will be held offering a $2,000 prize.

Tickets are $25, available online or by calling the Center Box Office at 706-878-3300.
