The Sautee Nachoochee Community Association Galleries will present its Annual Holiday Extravaganza. The Holiday Show features a huge array of art made by resident artists and especially designed for holiday gift giving.

On display will be paintings, fine photography, fiber art (wall hangings, purses, scarves and ponchos) a large selection of pottery, woodturned bowls and small handcrafted tables and bookcases.

There also will be unique sculpture, stained glass lamps, jewelry boxes and window art, collages, a collection of jewelry, prints, note cards and a selection of blown glass, hand-painted and fiber art tree ornaments.

A special gallery reception will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Dec. 3. The featured invitational artist is Chery Cratty, a former juried gallery artist and former resident of Clermont now living in Tennessee.

The Center Gallery is delighted to present Cratty's latest pulp painting creations and once again have her art on display at SNCA.

Cratty's compositions are created using pulp paper; she sprays the wet pulp mixture onto a black surface, then applies various bits of colored pulp utilizing African porcupine quills and palette knives.

The SNCA Galleries, located at Ga. 283 and 255 N., in Sautee Nacoochee, are free to the public and are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays.
