Lake Lanier Islands plans to honor and remember Georgia’s fallen soldiers who died while serving their country in the Global War on Terror with its upcoming 5-kilometer run. The Fallen Heroes of Georgia 5K will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford. The chip-timed race is a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.
