To mark the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, many runners plan to race in the 14th annual ADA Memorial 5-kilometer race.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 25, in downtown Gainesville.

Registration costs $25. Proceeds benefit Access to a Better Tomorrow Inc., a nonprofit whose mission is to ensure Georgians with disabilities have equal opportunities to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. ABT recognizes recreation is essential to happiness, and the organization provides support to the North Georgia Screamin’ Eagles Power Soccer Club.
