Toe-tapping, lip-smacking and bid-making are all actions residents may feel their bodies are inclined to do next weekend in downtown Gainesville.

Music, food, auction and a kid-friendly zone are slated for the annual Mitch Farmer June Jam at the Arts Council Smithgall Art Center. The event will be from 6-11 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at 331 Spring St. SW, in Gainesville

Tickets are $25-$30 at the door or can be ordered online at Pick them up at The Little House/CASA Office 603 Washington St. in Gainesville.

Tables are available from $250 and higher. For a $1,000 donation, a participant will receive table for eight, food tickets and a T-shirt sponsorship. To reserve a table, call 770-531-1964.

Sweet Butts BBQ will be available or spectators may bring their own beverage and chairs.

Bands set to perform include the Allen Nivens Band, Wayne and Peggy Duo, King Daddy Polecats and Ultraband.

Other activities include a silent auction and kid zone.

Organizers will also raffle off a one-year lease on a Nissan Versa, full-sized I-Pad and $1,000 gas card. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20.

All proceeds will benefit abused and neglected children served by the nonprofit organization, Hall-Dawson Court Appointed Special Advocate program.
