An artist’s evolution in the late 1950s will come to life on stage in “Red” at Piedmont College.
The production about artist Mark Rothko will be 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at The Sautee Nacoochee Center.
In the play, Mark Rothko is in his New York studio in 1958-9, painting a group of murals for the expensive and exclusive Four Seasons restaurant. He gives orders to his assistant, Ken, as he mixes the paints, makes the frames and paints the canvases.
