If you’re looking to learn more about the "old maids of Murrayville" or the first automobile in Banks County, you may or may not get the answers you seek during Saturday’s "Celebrations: ARTS ALIVE" radio broadcast. From 8-9 a.m. Saturday on Brenau University’s 89.1 FM, local author Gordon Sawyer will be sharing tall tales from his latest work, "Characters, Crazies and the Culture of Northeast Georgia." Although certain details may be improvised or embellished a bit, the humorous yarns he’ll be spinning are based on actual people and events from this area.
