With its carefully crafted walls and vaulted ceilings, ProMusica Concert Series organizers say Grace Episcopal Church is the perfect place to let Coro Vocati’s collective voices shine Sunday.

The performance will be an a cappella choral concert, said Mike Henry, ProMusica vice president.

"An unusually wide variety of repertoire will be sung, ranging from Palestrina to spirituals by Moses Hogan," he said. "ProMusica is thrilled to be able to present this caliber of music in the fine acoustical setting of Grace Episcopal."

The concert is set for 4 p.m. Sunday at the church located at 422 Brenau Ave. in Gainesville. Admission is $20 at the door for adults, but students will be admitted for free.

Coro Vocati is a professional chamber ensemble that is under the leadership of founding director John Dickson, the dean of Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music.

The group includes members from a variety of backgrounds including educators, vocal instructors and community singers.

The Atlanta-based, chamber choir’s "Darkness to Light" hourlong performance will close out ProMusica’s concert season. ProMusica hosts a variety of concerts, educational opportunities, and other events throughout the year all around Northeast Georgia.
