Phillip Hayner, pianist and professor of music at Piedmont College, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the chapel in Demorest. The recital evening will showcase works by three composers who contributed to the development of the piano sonata: Alberto Ginastera, Joseph Haydn and Franz Liszt. Hayner teaches piano, music theory and music history at Piedmont.
