Deemed “Georgia’s Expo for Urban Home and Community Gardening, Farming, Conservation and Recreation,” the inaugural Georgia Urban Ag & Outdoor Expo is coming to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21.
Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, attendees may find equestrian and sheep shearing demonstrations; a “pop up” market from the Georgia Farmers Market Association featuring fresh eggs, local honey and produce; raised bed gardening workshop; a fleet of food trucks; bouncy fun in the Kidzone; an appearance from Mayfield Dairy’s Maggie the Cow; truck demos from Hayes Automotive Group; and a slew of speakers, including the Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black and The Georgia Gardener, Walter Reeves.
Tickets are $5 per person for one day or $8 for two days. Children 12 and younger will be admitted for free.
