Bowl painted Saturday at Lakeshore Mall will be donated to the Empty Bowl Luncheon and sold to benefit the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

An art project Saturday at Lakeshore Mall can nurture your creative side while helping fill tables for needy families.

Interactive Neighborhood for Kids is holding its "Paint Your Own Pottery" event from noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 6.

Bowls can be purchased for $7 and up at the INK table, located near Center Court. Proceeds will support the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

The painted bowls will be donated to the Empty Bowl Luncheon, where guests can purchase the painted pottery, enjoy a meal and take home their bowl.

The luncheon is set for Sept. 15 at First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
