Learning to draw can be as easy as 1, 2, 3, especially with artist Luciano Georgescu teaching.

The multitalented artist will conduct a series of four-day drawing classes, starting with “How to hold a pencil.”  Classes will be offered twice daily, with a morning class from 9 a.m. to noon and 6-9 p.m. every Monday, March 2-23. All classes will be in the upstairs drawing room at the Helen Arts & Heritage Center at 25 Chattahoochee Strasse.

The fee is $80 and includes all four classes. For a single day drop-in, the price is $25. A list of supplies available upon request via email

Students will learn general and basic techniques necessary in creating a convincing perspective, following the rules in the art of drawing. Projects will include drawing a cube, cylinder, ceramic mug and a fruit and mug combination.

Luciano is skilled in the fields of drawing, painting, modeling, sculpting, art history, photography and architectural design and graphic illustration. He received a Master of Arts degree in 1967 in Bucharest, Romania. He has notable attributes in a long career in design and graphic arts.
