North Georgia fans of popular British band Mumford & Sons are in for a treat.
The band announced a U.S. tour titled “An Arrow through the Heartland,” which includes an April 11 stop at the Infinite Energy Center in Gwinnett. And due to high demand, they've added an April 12 show there as well.
Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Friday with prices starting at $59.50. They will be available at www.infiniteenergycenter.com or by calling 770-626-2464.
Band members Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane are touring to promote their latest album, “Wilder Mind.”
The stop in Gwinnett is one of only 16 in the country, including nearby stops in Birmingham, Ala.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Nashville, Tenn.
“Touring the United States of America in many ways fulfills the childhood dream of what touring might be like,” Lovett said in a release announcing the tour. “Rolling from one great city to the next, each with its own personality and uniqueness whilst remaining familiar enough at the same time. Waking up every morning with a conversation amongst us about who wants to visit ‘that’ bookshop, or ‘the’ ultimate music shop or whatever the various cities had to offer.”
