Master gardeners share their knowledge
Class at Gainesville branch of Hall County Library System
0306-GO-Hellebore
Hellebores, or Lenten flowers, were the topic of a master gardeners class last week at the Gainesville branch of the Hall County Library System.

Following the saying of “March showers bring April flowers,” the Hall County Library System will host a spring gardening series at the Gainesville branch this month.

Presentations will be from noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday in the meeting room of the Gainesville library.

The first class was on “Hellebores, Winter’s Late Flower.”

Remaining dates and topics in the series are:

* March 12: “Pruning Woody Ornamentals” by Master Gardener Hugo Koller

* March 19: “Native Plants in our Area” by Master Gardener Linda Chastain

* March 26: “Spring Vegetable Gardens” by Master Gardener Ron Brechter

For more information on the series, contact Wanda Cannon at wcannon@hallcounty.org or 770-535-8293.
