Everyone played with Legos as a kid. Now the popular toy has hit the big screen, and Braselton residents can see it for free.

The animated adventure comedy, “The Lego Movie,” will be screened at dusk on Friday, Aug. 8, in the Braselton Park.

The 100-minute, PG-rated movie follows LEGO mini-figure Emmet, who is the key to saving the LEGO universe. He and his friends embark on an epic journey to stop the evil tyrant, Lord Business. Voicing the characters are Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman and Chris Pratt as Emmet.

As movie-goers watch the film, they can partake of concessions and baked goods, as well as bring chairs or blankets.

Braselton Park is on Harrison Street in the town’s historic downtown. Visit for additional information.
