From 1969 to 1971, Johnny Cash had his own television show and brought a new dimension to his stage presence by dressing as a riverboat gambler. At this time, the singer combined the iconic long black coat with the pompadour hairstyle.

Now, that same look and feel will reappear on stage during the Johnny Cash Returns show. The event will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Holly Theater.

Tickets are $20 and $27 and may be purchase at www.hollytheater.com or at the box office at 69 W. Main St. in downtown Dahlonega.

Aside from the physical resemblance of the Man in Black, the show has recreated the comedic chemistry between Johnny; his wife, June; and the band members.
