Country music singer/songwriter and Demorest’s own John King will perform a free concert Dec. 1 at Piedmont College.

King recently picked up his first American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers award for co-writing “We Went,” which climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for singer Randy Houser.

The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Arrendale Amphitheater at 359 College Drive in Demorest. The venue features open-air stadium seating with plenty of room to bring folding chairs or cushions and cooler. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
