High schoolers know Anything Goes
Musical to hit the stage next week
0220-GO-Anything-Goes
The Gainesville High School Theatre group will perform “Anything Goes” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the school. Performers include, from left, Narda Rivera, Lauren Carter, Grant Lasseter, Carlee Cosper, Emmeline Jones, Jessica Kubacki and Carrie Franklin.

Mischief and mayhem abound in a musical wrapped around Cole Porter’s magical score in “Anything Goes.”

The 1930’s misadventure follows the barely kindled romance of Billy Crocker and Hope Harcourt aboard the Ocean Greyhound America. Adding extra enticement for the couple are the press, a stuffy English lord and gangsters in disguise.

Gainesville High School Theatre students will portray the cast of characters at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 25-27, at the school.

Tickets are $5 each, using cash or check only. Tickets can be purchased the night of the show from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Tickets can also be ordered by emailing ghstheatre@bellsouth.net in advance. Emails will be responded to in 48 hours.

Tickets must be picked up between 6:30 and 7 p.m. the night of the show at the school at 830 Century Place in Gainesville.
