In the spirit of the original “Hee Haw” television variety show, the children at Corner-Stone Church are performing an original Christmas musical titled “A Hee Haw Christmas.”
The program debuts at 6 p.m. Sunday at Corner-Stone Church, 6933 Ga. 11, Jefferson.
The script and music was written by area artist and award-winning songwriter Ricky Fitzpatrick. The Corner-Stone worship leader centered all of the music, laughter and good ol’ down home jokes around the birth of Jesus Christ.
Spectators will see their favorite “Hee Haw” staples such as Junior Samples, Grandpa Jones, Minnie Pearl and Roy Clarke and Buck Owens along with Charlie Farquharson, Goober and Archie Campbell. Guest appearances include cameos from the cast of “Duck Dynasty,” Deputy Barney Fife, The Turtle Man, Guy Fieti, Larry the Cable Guy and a musical performance by ZZ Topp.
And what would “Hee Haw” be without a hilarious rendition of “Pfft You Were Gone” with Rory Grant and Elder Vic Pesaresi?
