Three featured art students — Ryan Knowles, Ashton Thompson and Cortland West — will have their works on display in the student exhibition titled “Current” from April 10-21 in the John Harrison Hosch Library Gallery at 3820 Mundy Mill Road in Oakwood.

The exhibition will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday. A closing reception will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 21.

Each student’s work is varied based on individual interests.

Knowles’ final project integrates website design and original illustration to communicate the importance of the environmental and social impact of urban sprawl. He is an Outstanding Art Scholarship recipient and is interning at Red Clay Interactive.

Thompson is a graphic designer who has been awarded three Artistic Excellence awards and has completed an internship with Athens Passport Magazine. Her final project is designing an 18-page magazine devoted to car enthusiasts, including layout and original photography. Thompson is pursuing a career in layout, product rebranding and photography.

West is a two-time Artistic Excellence Scholarship recipient. She is a ceramic artist showcasing an installation of more than 75 clay forms.
