For 40 years now, Banks Burgess, Paul Shane and their band have brought folks in Atlanta an entertaining show filled with high-spirited renditions of old-time rock n’ roll, folk, bluegrass and country, Now Banks & Shane will be the life of the party during its 8 p.m. concert Saturday at the historic Holly Theater, 69 W. Main St., in downtown Dahlonega. The high-energy good-time music is spiced with a healthy dose of the good-natured wit and patter that the duo has fine-tuned on tours across the United States and around the world. Banks & Shane also have promoted Georgia by serving as representatives of the Atlanta Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Delta Air Lines and The Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association.
