Faculty Art Exhibit
Where: Gainesville State College Oakwood campus, 3820 Mundy Mill Road, Continuing Education and Performing Arts Building.
When: 10 a.m-4 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays through Feb. 4. Reception set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the lobby.

It isn't often that students get a chance to critique their teachers' work, but that's what's happening at Gainesville State College.
The college's Roy C. Moore Art Gallery is currently host to the 2011 Faculty Biennial Exhibition.
"Every other year, the gallery hosts an exhibition of the work created by the art department faculty," said Beth Sale, art gallery director.
"It's a great opportunity for students to see what their teachers are creating, it also helps them to understand where their instructors are coming from."
The exhibition includes work from 12 faculty members and covers a variety of media, including oils, ceramics, pencil and photography. The exhibit also includes performance art, a 4-foot sculpture and an interactive, digital display.
The gallery is located on the college's Oakwood campus, 3820 Mundy Mill Road, in the Continuing Education and Performing Arts Building. The exhibit will be open during regular gallery hours through Feb. 4.
Gallery hours are from are from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.
The gallery will host a reception for the exhibit at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the building's lobby.
Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
