Elachee Nature Science Center will offer a two part Backyard Conservation workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Participants will learn the basics of composting, capturing and storing rain and storm water with barrels and cisterns for reuse and creation of a rain garden for irrigation.

The workshops are free to local residents. Pre-registration required. Call 770-535-1976 to register.
