Elachee’s biggest fundraising event of the year, the Starlight Adventure Benefit Auction, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Elachee Nature Science Center.

Held on the outdoor patio, the event attracts nearly 250 friends and supporters of the community nature center who come together to celebrate the arrival of fall and the successes of the center.

A relaxed, casual party under the stars at Elachee, “Starlight” features beverage and appetizer bars, live music and festive decorations, low-country boil served for dinner and live and silent auctions. Auctions items will include artwork, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, trips, gift baskets, children’s surprises, event tickets, whimsical treasures and home décor.

In keeping with the commitment to “go green,” Elachee will use electronic bidding for silent auction selections again this year. Popular last year, the event is an easy, user-friendly way to bid from anywhere at the venue to “win” and support Elachee.  View auction items online at

Individual tickets are $70 per person or a pair for $120. Call Elachee at 770-535-1976 to reserve a spot today or email
