Visitors to Don Carter State Park may enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors while listening to live music at the Chattahoochee Mountain Music Festival. Set for Saturday, Sept. 24, the event will be from noon to 6 p.m. at 5000 N Browning Bridge Road in Gainesville. “If you haven’t experienced the park yet, you’re really missing what I think is one of the hidden jewels of the county,” said Will Hicks, president of the Friends of Don Carter State Park.
