Concerts have taken place in four cities across the state since July and will continue with two more  — one in November and one in December — to celebrate the “Year of Georgia Music.”

Pat Alger, Tony Arata and Amy Ray will be the featured performers in the Nov. 19 concert at Holly Theater in downtown Dahlonega. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. at 69 W. Main St., Dahlonega.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Alger is among the most successful country songwriters of the late 1980s and early ’90s. He has written Top 10 country hits for Kathy Mattea, Garth Brooks, Hal Ketchum, Don Williams and Trisha Yearwood.

Arata is a recent inductee into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His song “The Dance” won song of the year at The Academy of Country Music and received both a Country Music Association and a Grammy nomination. He has also had No. 1 records with “Here I Am” for Patty Loveless, “I’m Holding My Own” for Lee Roy Parnell, and “Dreaming With My Eyes Open” for Clay Walker.

Amy Ray is most recognizable as one of the of the Indigo Girls, one of the most successful duos in contemporary music. Ray, a self-described “workaholic,” also has an established solo career. Her first solo release, “Stag,” was in 2001.

The concert series is the 2016 marketing initiative developed by Georgia Tourism to promote the state as a premier destination for live music and music heritage.

The final concert is Dec. 2 at Douglass Theatre, 355 Martin Luther King Drive, Macon with Lloyd Buchanan, Lola Gulley and Ike Stubblefield.
