Gainesville residents may feast on the sounds of Italy during “An Italian Christmas” at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.
The concert will feature a chamber orchestra, the First Presbyterian Church’s Chancel Choir, the North Georgia Children’s Chorus, soprano Michelle Martin and professional musician Sandra Lutters. Musical pieces include “Gloria,” “Concerto Grosso,” “Dormi, Dormi” (Sleep, Sleep), “Glory to God” and “Exsultate,” “Jubilate” and “Alleluia” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The concert will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church at 800 S. Enota in Gainesville.

The concert is part of the church’s musical series. Money raised will help fund First Presbyterian Church’s choir trip to Italy in April. The choir is scheduled to sing for Masses at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome and St. Mark’s in Venice.
