For the 10th time, The Ghastly Dreadfuls will deliver spine-tingling storytelling with a vast cast of characters at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.

From now until Oct. 29, the Atlanta cult classic will perform a compendium of ghost stories and spectacle with puppets, live music and dance.

The evening is “a kind of dark vaudeville with a variety of performance styles and sensibilities,” artistic director Jon Ludwig said. “There’s really something for everybody.”

The Ghastly Dreadfuls haunts the stage with fan favorites, including “11:59,” “Grim Grinning Ghosts” and “The Girl in the New Dress.”

And a new piece had been added. “The Horrific Experiment: A Grand Guignol” specializes in graphic, naturalistic imagery intended to shock and provoke audiences.

In “The Horrific Experiment,” a doctor and his assistant go to extremes to bring his daughter back to life.

Because of the content, “The Ghastly Dreadfuls” is for fans ages 18 and older. Furthermore, the show isn’t for those who take life or death too seriously.

A beer and wine bar will be open before the show and during intermission.

Tickets are $18.75 for members and $25 for nonmembers. It includes entry to the performance and museum.
