The natural beauty of Georgia will be on display when The Bowen Center for the Arts presents the exhibit "Chasing the Light —The Plein Air Fine Artists Alliance" through April.

Eight artists in the Plein Air Fine Artists Alliance — Ann Alexander, Judy Black, Dede Collicott, GeorgeAnn Moore, Cathy Ritch, Charlotte Sneed, Dru Stowers and Nona Stephens — capture images of the state’s mountains, rivers, marshes and beaches as they paint outdoors on location.

The works will be on display beginning Saturday through April 30. A reception with the artists is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

In addition, a workshop, "Insider Tips for Outdoor Painting" will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at The Bowen Center. It will include the history of outdoor painting, plus tips on equipment and composition and a painting experience.

The Bowen Center for the Arts is located at 334 Ga. 9 N. in Dawsonville. For more informations call 706-216-2787, or visit www.dawsonarts.org.
