After spending two years giving everything she had to help promote and support musical artists following their dreams, Heather Wilkerson decided to follow her own dream in the world of musically inspired visual art.

Wilkerson will display a year's worth of her "musical art" at The Crimson Moon Café in Dahlonega in her first showcase via a unique duo appearance with legendary Nashville songwriter Chuck Cannon.

Her unique work is both inspired by and painted to music. Wilkerson attracted national attention when she submitted an art piece in a contest to appear on Dominique Barteet's OneSole shoes.

Her art was voted on by the public, selected and will be featured at www.onesole.com and be available for purchase in the 2012 spring line collection.

Cannon, a South Carolina-born and Nashville-raised multiaward winning songwriter, has authored more than a dozen No. 1 hit songs that have been recorded by the likes of Toby Keith, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Boy Zone and Dolly Parton. He will perform at 8 p.m. following the reception to meet the artist.

Admission to the performance is $22 in advance and $25 at the door.
