Star Parker

Nationally syndicated columnist, Fox News contributor and author Star Parker will be the keynote speaker at the annual Fundraising Gala for Choices Pregnancy Care Center.

Parker is the founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, a public policy think tank that promotes market-based solutions to fight poverty.

Before her involvement in social activism, she had seven years of first-hand experience in the grip of welfare dependency. After consulting on federal Welfare Reform in the mid-1990s, Parker founded UrbanCure to bring new ideas to policy discussions on how to transition America’s poor from government dependency.

The gala is set for 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at First Baptist Church, 751 Green St. NW, in Gainesville. You must be 18 or older to attend.

Tickets are $30 per person, $240 table sponsor or $500 for business sponsorship. Reservations are available at choicespregnancypartners.org.
