The headliner of last year’s ‘Winter Bluegrass Jam” in Clarkesville, Larry Keel, will demonstrate his talents once again with a concert at the Grant Street Music Room.
The 8 p.m. event will be Saturday, Feb. 22, at 583 Grant St. in Clarkesville. Tickets are $15 and available at www.grantstreetmusicroom.com.
Keel, an acoustic flatpicking guitarist, absorbed his skill from his Bluegrass family upbringing, which are deeply steeped in the rich mountain music culture and heritage of southwest Virginia. From there, he integrated solid musical grounding and natural-born talent with his own incomparable approach to flatpicking the guitar and composing original music.
Throughout his career, he has released 14 albums and is featured on 10 others.
The most recent release, is CLASSIC, the third album recorded by Keel and his ensemble, Natural Bridge. The project is filled with originals written by Keel, band members or by musicians and songwriters.
