The Friday night concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association center’s theater. Reserved seating is $12 for adults and $8 for students. Call 706-878-3300 for tickets.

The next day, ContraForce will fill the gym with their music while dancers take to the floor. Band members are Andrae Raffield on the fiddle, Joey Dorwart on the drums and saxophone and Jimi “Two Nails” Periano on the acoustic and electric guitar.

Charlotte Crittenden will call the dances with a style matching the music.

As always, a free introductory lesson will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday followed by the dance from 8-11 p.m. in the Sautee Nacoochee historic gym at 283 Ga. 255 North. It is a quarter mile off Ga. 17 in Sautee.

Admission is $7 for members, $9 nonmembers, $5 students and free for children 12 and younger.

The next dance will be Feb. 22 and feature the Athens-based band “String Theory” with Walter Daves calling.
