The Hall County Southern Explosion 12 and under softball team will play in the Dizzy Dean World Series from July 22-26 in Southaven, Mississippi.
The Southern Explosion earned the invite after winning the 2009 Georgia State Championship, becoming the first team from Hall County to do so.The team enters the tournament with an undefeated record for the third straight year. Along the way, they have won three Hall County Championship titles, the 2009 Dizzy Dean District Tournament in Dawsonville and the 2009 Dizzy Dean Softball Tournament in Fannin County.
