Tennis playoffs: Cherokee Bluff dominates Redan in first round of 3A tournament

James Rivenbark continued his dominating play in singles for the Cherokee Bluff boys as it beat Redan 5-0 in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs Thursday in Flowery Branch. 

Also in singles, Joshua Reynolds and Cade Ellis won for the Bears. 

In the only doubles match, Lee McDaniel/Boston Murphy won in straight sets. 

Up next, Cherokee Bluff will host Pierce County in the second round next week. Match time is still to be determined.
