Sherby: Tennis is cheap
Placeholder Image

Tennis is a relatively inexpensive sport to play. All you really need is a strung racket, decent shoes, balls and shorts. Oh yeah, maybe a T-shirt.

But for you thrifty players there, here is a tip; reuse your overgrips.

Overgrip is that tape you buy that wraps around your slippery handle. It’s great because it instantly fixes a hard-to-grip handle. It costs about a dollar.

When the overgrip gets nasty, most players wrap on a new one. But did you know you can use the reverse side? Simply turn it over and use it again. It works practically as well on the other side.

All you misers out there might even try washing the overgrip in the washing mashine with those shorts and T-shirt!
