High school softball scoreboard: Savannah Rutledge hits grand slam in Flowery Branch win over West Hall

Savannah Rutledge hit a grand slam and drove in five runs for Flowery Branch in a 16-0 win against West Hall on Tuesday.

Senior Jessica Houston got the start and the win for Flowery Branch (6-0, 3-0 Region 7-4A) in the circle. Kate Stage and Aubrey Bourrie each had two hits for the Lady Falcons.

The Lady Falcons will continue their series against West Hall on Thursday.

BUFORD 3, BROOKWOOD 1: Ansleigh Hollifield pitched a complete game with a career-high 12 strikeouts as the Lady Wolves won the 500th game in school history.

Abbi Perkins went 2 for 2, including a solo home run in the fifth inning, while Kara Taylor and Emi Hall drove in Buford’s other two runs. 

Up next, the Lady Wolves take on Norcross today at 5:30 p.m.

EAST HALL 13, LUMPKIN COUNTY 8: Macy Banks got the start for East Hall, pitching a complete game and striking out seven. She also homered to get the scoring started in the first inning. 

Abigail Brown scored two with a home run of her own in the second inning, while Carley Cox batted in three on a bases-loaded double in the fifth.
