National Signing Day: Pair of Gainesville High runners sign Division-I scholarships

On Wednesday, Gainesville High had a pair of distance runners sign Division-I scholarships.

Red Elephants senior John Jessup inked his letter of intent to the University of Georgia. Jessup, a talented middle-and long-distance runner finished second in the 800-meter run last year in Class 7A, running a time of 1:54.7.

Also, Samantha Hartman signed with Kennesaw State University. Hartman is a two-sport standout for the Red Elephants.
