The Gwinnett Braves bullpen couldn’t find a rhythm on Thursday in Norfolk, Va. as the Norfolk Tides rallied for a 7-5 win over the G-Braves in the third game of a four-game series. The G-Braves took an early 3-1 lead after an RBI sacrifice fly by Ernesto Mejia and a solo home runs from both Ruben Gotay and J.C. Boscan but couldn’t hold on to the lead, when a wild throw by Gotay in the fifth inning allowed Norfolk to tie the game 3-3. Gwinnett was tied with Norfolk 4-4 in the bottom of the eighth with Cole McCurry on the mound, who recorded the first two outs but then walked Norfolk’s Jamie Hoffman, gave up a single to L.J. Hoes, and walked Exposito, loading the bases.
