Teheran blasted as G-Braves lose 13th straight game

Julio Teheran struggled again for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves, allowing nine earned runs over 3 2/3 innings in an 11-5 loss to the Scranton-Wilkes Barre. Yankees on Thursday in Rochester, N.Y. With the loss, the G-Braves have dropped 13 straight. In the bottom of the fourth, Scranton erupted for seven runs, including a two-run homer from Jack Cust and two RBI doubles.

Police charge Gwinnett Braves player with rape

ATLANTA — A player for the Gwinnett Braves has been accused of raping a woman while on a trip to Columbus, Ohio. WGCL-TV (http://bit.ly/1KpmXCh) reports Elmer Reyes has been charged with kidnapping and rape in connection with the weekend incident at a Columbus hotel. Reyes is an infielder for the Braves.
