Redmond pitches six scoreless innings against Syracuse

Todd Redmond pitched six scoreless innings for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves in a 1-0 win against the Syracuse Chiefs on Thursday in Syracuse, N.Y. Redmond finished the game with six strike outs and only allowed four hits.

First baseman Wilkin Castillo had a hit and drove in the game's only run, scoring right fielder Stefan Gartrell.

Brandon Hicks finished 1 for 3 with a walk for the G-Braves (69-57).

Gwinnett wraps up the four-game series against Syracuse at 7 p.m. tonight in Syracuse, N.Y.
