ROCHESTER, NY — The Rochester Red Wings banged out a season-high 10 runs and 18 hits in a 10-1 rout of the Gwinnett Braves on Monday night at Frontier Field in Rochester, NY. The G-Braves, however, maintain their three-game lead over Charlotte in the International League South as the Knights lost to Durham 3-2 in 10 innings. Gwinnett’s game, which was delayed at the start for 30 minutes because of rain, was scoreless until the bottom of the third, when with no one on and two outs, G-Braves starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens gave up back to back singles to Wilkin Ramirez and Chris Parmelee. Danny Valencia followed with a three-run homer to left giving the Red Wings a 3-0 lead heading to the fourth.
