Gwinnett loses series finale against Lehigh Valley
G-Braves only put together three hits against IronPigs

The Gwinnett Braves only managed three hits and lost the series finale against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 4-0 on Thursday at Coolray Field in Lawrencville.

At the plate, Mauro Gomez, J.C. Boscan and Brandon Hicks recorded hits for the Triple-A G-Braves (26-27). With the loss, Gwinnett drops below the .500 mark for the first time since April 9.

Gwinnett's Erik Cordier pitched five innings and allowed five hits, a walk, and a solo home run by IronPigs first baseman Jeff Larish.

The G-Braves play host to the Buffalo Bisons at 7 p.m. tonight at Coolray Field.

WGCL-TV (http://bit.ly/1KpmXCh) reports Elmer Reyes has been charged with kidnapping and rape in connection with the weekend incident at a Columbus hotel. Reyes is an infielder for the Braves.
