Gwinnett Braves right fielder Stefan Gartrell connected on a two-run home run, his 25th home run of the season, for the Triple-A G-Braves in a 7-3 loss to the Pawtucket Red Sox on Monday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.
Gwinnett first baseman Mauro Gomez finished the game 3 for 4, while left fielder Matt Young added an RBI. G-Braves center fielder Jeff Fiorentino had two hits and a stolen base.
Gwinnett opens a four-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Syracuse, N.Y.
