The Gwinnett Braves swept a doubleheader against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Tuesday at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, Pa., winning 6-3 in the first game and 7-0 in the second.
Due to a postponement of Monday night's game, the G-Braves faced off against the IronPigs in two seven-inning games Tuesday, with the first starting at 10:30 a.m.
Julio Teheran improved to 4-0, earning the first-game win by pitching six innings and allowing one run on six hits while striking out six. Stefan Gartell was 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored. Jose Constanza was 2-for-4 with three runs and a stolen base.
In the second game, Todd Redmond (3-4) continued the recent solid pitching that earned him International League Pitcher of the Week Honors, earning the win with seven strikeouts in a two-hit, six-inning performance. Mauro Gomez was 3-for-4 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs.
The G-Braves are off Wednesday and will play the Buffalo Bisons in New York at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday to begin a four-game series.
