G-Braves fall to Tides, 5-2

Triple-A Gwinnett Braves starter Jair Jurrjens was hit hard early and took the loss in a 5-2 decision against the Norfolk Tides on Wednesday in Norfolk, Va. Jurrjens gave up three earned runs and two hits before the first out was recorded in the third inning, then was pulled for reliever Buddy Carlyle, who gave up another two runs in the inning. Jose Constanza led off the seventh inning for Gwinnett with a single, and scored on a two-out single by Terry Tiffee.
